well..
came across tis thread in MCF..
askin ppl opinion on their proposal..
tink its kinda funny for this then-wife-to-be..

story 1:
went to equinox 70th storey for international high tea buffet (btw, each $45 nett. cheap! hehe)
she did not suspect anything at all becoz i was supposedly damn cash tight.
it was our 3rd yr anniversary and she thought it was just a meal to celebrate.
i got up to get some food, hid the ring in a bowl of almond jelly longan dessert and gave her to drink.
she ate so little coz almond jelly was my fav and she wanted to keep for me. i started to eat up everything tat was left on the table so she would start to touch the almond jelly
finally, she saw the ring and said loudly:"dear we cant eat this! the cook who prepared this threw the can ring into the dessert!" apparently she saw just half of the ring! lol
she begun to use a spoon to dig out the 'can ring'. when she fully dug out the ring, she said:"dear i tink someone dropped her ring into the dessert container"
wa lao i pengz big time. but a split second later, she knew it was for her. haha! she was happy and speechless for tat moment. it was a yes

my comment: still funny.. haha

another story:
Bought a $11k Brilliant Rose months before her birthday.Went to Bangkok and stayed in Bayoke Sky. Went for cruise dinner. Gf tot I was gg to propose but I didn't.Nxt day, we moved to Lebua. As she was taking her bath, I laid a Ted Baker dress on the bed and a pair of heels and placed a card on the bed which said, "Meet me at Mezzaluna".Had dinner at that restaurant and then proposed.That dinner cost me $400.PENGz!

my comment: if can buy a $11k ring.. an additional $400 dun make much diff ya?

another one:
i discussed with my wife which HDB area to book
my wife said: are you sure about me?
me: yaaaahhh.
why no joke man, this is me
given a choice to go back in time, i would have done things diferrently

one guy can still comment: haha sounded exactly like mine save the hassle and money. let it come naturally kekeke

my comment: the apply-flat technique. as for tt fella reply... i mean it dun hav to be a very lavish n $ spending event.. imho.. i tink using a 'can ring' as the ring.. n juz propose would be betta than tis..

there r some who really go the extra miles like getting the whole flight crew involved..
majority r those simple n sweet one..

no offend ppl..
its juz my humble opinion..
nothing against anything..
at the end of the day..
i guess
as long as they r happy together can liao.

well..
ot til 9pm tdy..
dinner was on PL..
they ordered pizza n kfc..
dun hav my fav pizza.. -_-

all of a sudden..
i tink i shld learn how to take the bus home without grumbling.
but not the shuttle bus though.
i rather take public bus.
dunno y ..
but i juz have no gd feeling for the shuttle bus.

is bags in europe really cheap?
or r ppl juz rich?
overheard my coll telling another one the bags she bought..
loewe, miu miu, lv, etc..
i tink if i got the $$...
i oso wont spend it all on bags at one go..
ha...
